The University of Texas at Dallas is among the top universities in the country overall, and highly ranked in value, ethnic diversity and low student debt, according to the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, released Sept. 14. Among the best public universities overall in the nation, UT Dallas rose to 65th in the rankings, up from 68th last year. UT Dallas graduates have a median federal loan graduate debt of $18,250, about half the 2019 national average student loan debt of $35,620 as cited by Experian. UT Dallas remains in the top 30 in the nation for ethnic diversity. 143 overall and third for public universities in Texas.
