EPPS Professor Appointed to Census CommitteeA political science professor at The University of Texas at Dallas recently was named to an advisory committee to the United States Census Bureau. Dr. Thomas Brunell, program head of political science, public policy and political economy in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences, was appointed to the Census Scientific Advisory Committee in November. Chan is the first UT Dallas faculty member to receive the award, which is the highest honor given by the regional affiliate of ACS. Chan, who joined the UT Dallas faculty in 2013, is a leading expert on the synthesis, crystal growth and characterization of novel quantum materials.
