Comet spirit soared as alumni and students celebrated UT Dallas’ 2022 Homecoming with a range of activities and contests Feb. 9-12. Christy Chinn, a finance senior, was elected Homecoming queen, and Natasha Rahman, a mechanical engineering senior, was elected Homecoming king. The Bangladeshi Student Organization won the President’s Trophy; the Vietnamese Student Association won the Comet Cup; Delta Delta Delta won the Fraternity and Sorority Spirit Award; Residential Life won the Orange & Green Cup; and Nova won the Spirit Cup. Although the Homecoming Nighttime 5K was canceled due to a power outage, Comets can still participate in the Homecoming Virtual 5K by running or walking their favorite 5K course during the month of March. Every registrant will be shipped a thank-you kit, and the first 50 will receive this year’s UTD Homecoming Nighttime 5K T-shirt.
