The University of Texas at Dallas collected two more American Southwest Conference (ASC) championships over the weekend as the men’s golf team captured its first ASC crown in 20 years, and the women’s tennis team won its fourth straight title. The golf team tied its lowest 54-hole score in program history to win its tournament by 15 strokes at the Oakwing Golf Club in Alexandria, Louisiana, on April 30. The UT Dallas men’s team, ranked No. 14 by the Golf Coaches Association of America, earned the ASC’s automatic qualifier berth to the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, which will begin May 16 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Meanwhile, the women’s tennis team cruised to a 5-1 win over Hardin-Simmons University in its ASC title match April 29 at Streich Tennis Center in Abilene, Texas.
