EU bans Russian LNG in new sanctions package

According to the announcement by the President of the European Commission, the Union intends to ban the import of Russian LNG (liquefied natural gas) into the European market.
“It is time to turn off the tap.
(…) I want to make it clear: Europeans will be safe this winter” - said Ursula von der Leyen.
