Does anybody remember the Three Seas Initiative? In the last decade, this forgotten concept inspired the Three Seas Initiative, launched in 2015 by Polish President Andrzej Duda and Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. Only 8% is covered by the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund launched in 2019, with the size of 928m EUR. It could be conceived as a Three Seas Initiative 2.0, or as its second, more unified tier. In the end, the success of such a framework rests largely on Poland’s readiness to lead, as has been the case with the Three Seas Initiative.
