A neuroscience researcher from The University of Texas at Dallas’ Center for Advanced Pain Studies has been selected to receive a seed grant from the Merkin Center at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The two-year, $130,000 grant will support her work to uncover how disruptions in messenger RNA (mRNA) transport within peripheral nerves contribute to nerve degeneration.
