BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Burlington police are investigating an incident that happened overnight that reportedly ended in gunfire. Police say after speaking with witnesses, they learned a fight had broken out involving multiple people. They said a person had fired a handgun into the air, breaking up the fight. Investigators say the person believed to have fired the gun is described as a tall black male with a heavy build wearing blue jeans and a white shirt. The BPD Detective Services Bureau is investigating the incident.
