NEW YORK — The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) recently won three communications awards from the American Association of Motor Vehicles (AAMVA), the department announced in a press release.
The department’s Office of Communications won awards for its use of social media and an opinionpiece written about the launch of New York’s Mobile ID, the release said.
DMV won a regional award for its use of social media, the third time the agency has been honored in that category in recent years.
DMV uses social media to educate the public about its operations and available services and use a wide array of approaches and techniques.
The agency uses graphics, humor, motion graphics and video to make its social media posts lively, engaging and worth following.
