Celebration of Life services for Alfred W. Mapp Sr. will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Ellis Mortuary, 4445 N. Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, with visitation there from noon to 1 p.m. Alfred retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant and also from Stellantis (formerly Chrysler Corporation). He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Mapp, son, Alfred W. Mapp Jr.; grandson, Alfred W. Mapp III. He is survived by his daughter, Gia Mapp; son, Alan Mapp; grandchildren, Alexandria and Christopher Mapp, Jasmine Anderson; daughter-in-law, Robin Mapp; sisters, Edna and Ada Mapp. Burial, with military honors, will take place in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
