Dale E. Forgey, 92, of Galveston, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025. Dale was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Young America, to Earl and Osa (Hursh) Forgey. He married Mildred "Millie" Thieke on May 27, 1955, and she preceded him in death Nov. 17, 2013. Dale was a lifelong farmer. He loved raising cattle on the family farm along with his son and grandchildren. He also retired from Delco. Surviving family include his daughter, Susan (Carl) Perry; his daughter-in-law, Katherine Forgey; grandchildren, Tyler Perry, Seth Forgey (Madison), Savannah Krock (Derrick), Spenser Forgey (Carly), Shelbi Forgey (Aaron); his great-grandchildren, Mariah, Viktor, Hunter, Xander, Addilyn, Kendrix, Montgomery, Korbin, Zeberiah and Kassidy. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; son, Mike; sisters, Phyllis, Shirley and Donna; special friend, Joyce Pullen; and special son, John Cox. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, from 3 - 6 p.m., at Center Community of Faith Church, 1475 E. 1125 South, Galveston, IN 46932, with Pastor Brent Cripe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Young America Vol. Fire Dept. in Dale's memory.
