GENESEE COUNTY, MI – A man drove through the front door of a church during Sunday service, exited his vehicle and opened fire. The church shooting left one victim dead and nine others injured, police said during a Sunday afternoon press conference. The gunman, identified only as a 40-year-old Burton man, was fatally shot after exchanging gunfire with Grand Blanc Township police. The man drove his vehicle through the church’s front door around 10:25 a.m. as hundreds of churchgoers attended Sunday service, Renye said. The man exited his vehicle and began firing an assault rifle, Renye said.
