U.S. economists warn that the bleak outlook on the job market isn’t going to change any time soon as unemployed Americans continue to struggle. The Bureau of Labor Statistics released a report this month that shows 25% of Americans who’ve been unemployed have been without work for six months or more. Additionally, the U.S. unemployment rate reached 4.3% in August – the highest its been since October 2021, the report says.
