A driver was taken into custody Tuesday after he crashed into another vehicle while running away from police through the San Fernando Valley. Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department tried to stop the driver on Victory Boulevard near Woodman Avenue in Van Nuys at around 2:15 p.m. Once they reached the Burbank area, the suspect crashed into an innocent driver in a red SUV. It was not immediately clear whether the victim -- the driver of the red SUV -- was injured. The LAPD did not confirm why officers wanted to stop the driver.
