A shelter-in-place order was issued Monday afternoon in the Spring Valley area due to a hazmat incident that caused a gas cloud, officials said. WATCH HERE WATCH HEREDuring the shelter-in-place order, which was lifted just before 2 p.m., residents within the boundaries were asked to remain indoors with shut and locked doors and windows. No official evacuation order was issued, but the incident did cause the sheriff's department to go door-to-door to evacuate some businesses and residents. At least one person appeared to be receiving medical attention and an ambulance could be seen arriving at the scene.
