An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting in Stone County left two people injured, including a sheriff’s deputy. According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, deputies with the Stone County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to serve a warrant at a residence on Carl Taylor Road in Wiggins. That’s when a subject discharged a weapon at the deputies. One of the deputies on site was struck by a bullet in the shoulder. Upon completing the investigation, agents will share their findings with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
