Unsafe On Campus

Bi Community News
New research from the government’s Office for Students shows it’s less safe being queer on campus at English universities.
Nearly half (46.6 per cent) of lesbian, gay, or bisexual students experienced sexual harassment, compared to 21.7 per cent of heterosexual students.
They were also more likely to have experienced sexual assault/violence (29.8 per cent compared to 12 per cent).
Categories used for all the findings are “heterosexual”, “lesbian, gay or bisexual”, or “other sexual orientation”.
Given past research of similar nature it is likely some of the “LGB” figures will be a combination of a lower number for LG and a higher number for B.
