A spokesperson for the council said: "Today, we recognise our remarkable colleague, Finbarr, who is being honoured for his dedication in caring for the graves of victims of the 1985 Air India disaster. "After the tragedy, Finbarr took it upon himself to tend to the graves of Annu and Rena, two young victims of the crash whose bodies were never claimed. To this day, Finbarr continues to care for both graves, a testament to the man he is. The festival was attended by the Lord Mayor, Garda Superintendent John Deasy, and representatives from the Indian embassy and Cork City Council.
