Residents of Strawberry in Ellesmere Port vote for their new representative on Cheshire West and Chester Council on October 2, after a vote was triggered when the previous Labour councillor resigned on health grounds. Six candidates are going head-to-head, with the Green candidate being named as Paul Bowers. Mr Bowers had been the borough’s first from the party when he was elected in 2019, and has since stood at Parliamentary elections. The father of three said he has ‘lived and worked’ in the area for most of his life.
