The exhibition, titled China in Action: Implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, was presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and organized by China's permanent mission to the UN. As the largest developing country in the world, China has integrated the implementation into its mid - to long-term national development strategies and formulated a national implementation plan. Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces, president of the 73rd UN General Assembly, said the exhibition highlighted China's contribution to the sustainable development goals, noting China's focus on SDGs is "crucial" for the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement on climate change. She commended China for its strong commitment to the 2030 Agenda, noting the country has aligned its current 13th Five-Year-Plan with sustainable development goals. She also welcomed China's notable increase in international cooperation pledges in recent years for climate action and peacekeeping.
