The City of Fort Worth announced Tuesday evening that Fire Chief Jim Davis has been placed on administrative leave. In a brief statement, the department said Davis is on leave due to a personnel matter and that the city could not share any additional information at this time. Watch NBC 5 free wherever you are WATCH HERE WATCH HEREDavis, who was sworn in on Oct. 16, 2018, according to his bio on the City of Fort Worth website, replaced Rudy Jackson, who retired at the time. Before arriving in Fort Worth, Davis oversaw training and education for 1,550 firefighters and paramedics in the Columbus, Ohio, Division of Fire, according to his bio. Davis earned a master’s degree from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business and a doctorate in adult learning theory from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education’s Chief Learning Officer Program.
