James ‘Jemsie’ Nunan, 34, has been missing since August 18, while sailing near Gran Canaria, and his family are now urgently raising funds to support the ongoing search. But in August, James' yacht was recovered 80km off the coast of Gran Canaria by the local coastguard, with Thumbelina still on board. It is understood that both his passport and backpack were stolen that same night, with the builder reporting the loss of his passport to the Irish Embassy.
