More infoCork's Patrick Horgan has announced his retirement from intercounty hurling, aged 37, after an illustrious career in red. Making his debut in 2008, Horgan retires with four Munster Senior titles and four All-Stars and is the Championship's all-time top scorer. I will always be grateful for the support the Cork people have given our team in good times and bad. A prolific scorer throughout his career, Horgan maintained his place in the team throughout the twilight of his career and started both the 2024 and 2025 All-Ireland finals. In his retirement statement, Horgan thanked his family, friends, teammates, and employer and wished upcoming manager Ben O'Connor well.
