Beth Meyerand, associate dean in the Graduate School, has been appointed Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Rhode Island, effective March 1. Since July 2024, Meyerand has served as associate dean, providing campus-wide leadership for graduate education. Her portfolio has included graduate admissions and academic planning, faculty mentoring, as well as service on the Graduate School leadership team and the Graduate Faculty Executive Committee. “Serving as associate dean has been an incredibly rewarding experience, allowing me to support graduate students and help shape programs that advance graduate education,” said Meyerand. “Beth is a nationally recognized leader in graduate education whose impact at UW–Madison has been both deep and far-reaching,” said Karpus.
