Officers investigating a break-in at a café that resulted in a hole in the ceiling have arrested a suspect.
A staff member at The Avenues Café, Gedling Street in Nottingham arrived at the premises on the morning of 26 November 2025 to find the rear fire door forced open, and a hole in the ceiling of the kitchen.
A till and £90 of cash from inside of it were found to be missing, with the empty till found in a nearby street by police officers.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary on Tuesday (27 January).
He was also arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and recalled to prison following a previous incident.
