Darnell Smith, who has previously been pictured with his hair tied up in bunches, is at large after managing to get out of the prison near Grendon Underwood, in West Buckinghamshire near the border with Oxfordshire. ‌Smith, aged 27, absconded at about 11.30am on Wednesday (January 28) with Thames Valley Police only making his escape from the open prison public in an appeal at 1.25pm today (Friday, January 30). The office leading the search to find him is warning members of the public to not approach Smith but to call 999 immediately if you have any information on his whereabouts. “If you see Smith, do not approach him and call 999 instead.
