Thousands of Walmart employees will receive promotions and pay raises as the nation’s largest retailer doubles down on its pharmacy services. Team leads oversee daily pharmacy operations and support pharmacy managers and pharmacists, Walmart said. The positions – pharmacy sales associate, technicians or operations team lead – do not require college degrees. Walmart will cover the cost for those associates who want to become certified pharmacy technicians, something it has done for some 22,000 employees since 2016. Walmart has nearly 4,600 pharmacy locations across the country.
