A Basic Five pupil at Falahiyat E/A Primary School, Block “A,” has been admitted to St. Anne’s Catholic Hospital in Damongo in the Savannah Region following an alleged physical assault by his class teacher. After home treatment failed to ease the pain, the family took him to Damongo St Anne’s Catholic Hospital, where he was admitted. Mr Mahama further alleged that since the incident, the teacher involved has not visited the child at the hospital. He added that the teacher only visited the family’s home on Sunday, January 25, in the evening, after the child’s mother made contact. Meanwhile, the headmistress of the school, accompanied by another staff member, has visited the hospital to check on the pupil’s condition.
