Rep. Vining: Re-Introduces Baby Bonds bill to improve economic security for Wisconsin families

MADISON – Today, State Representative Robyn Vining (D-Wauwatosa) and State Senator Kelda Roys (D-Madison) introduced legislation to establish a Baby Bonds program for babies born to Medicaid eligible families in Wisconsin.
The state would invest in bonds worth $3,000, and access to these funds would be granted at 18.
Rep. Robyn Vining released the following statement:“Wisconsinites deserve economic security and opportunity, and that includes our kids.
These early investments can empower Wisconsin children to achieve economic stability to live their lives to their full potential.
