Major I-94 Changes Ahead: Ramp Re-openings Planned as 27th Street Bridge and Nearby Ramps Close Long Term

27th Street Bridge and Ramp Closures BeginWisDOT says major changes on the east end of the project begin Monday, February 2nd including a long-term shutdown of a key bridge and nearby freeway access. “By 6:00 AM Monday morning, the 27th St. Bridge over I-94 that will close long term,” says Eric Hanson with WisDOT. “For this project we are fully replacing the 27th St. Bridge. “The primary detour route for 27th St., is to use 35th St.,” Hanson says. “For West Leg traffic, drivers can anticipate the current configuration through the end of March,” Hanson says.
