Courtney Jamal also targeted Sainsbury's and SPAR in her crime spree, with the shops spread across both Gateshead and Newcastle. ‌Jamal, of no fixed address, was spotted by Northumbria Police officers from the Gateshead East Neighbourhood team, and arrested on January 17, and she then appeared in court just two days later.
