Donna Fairclough, who runs a pub, had arranged to fly from Manchester Airport bound for Malta alongside her partner Gary Broadley on January 3.
However, upon arrival at the terminal, Donna, aged 42, and Gary, 55, were denied boarding by easyJet due to damage on Donna's passport.
Given the seemingly minor nature of the tear, Donna was taken aback when easyJet staff at Manchester Airport refused her passage.
She recalled: "We got to Manchester Airport and printed off our labels for our bags.
HM Passport Office will consider your passport damaged if [...] any of the pages are ripped, cut or missing."
