The BMW i7 flagship electric sedan has crossed the sales milestone of 1,000 units. Launched in 2023 as the brand’s first all-electric sedan, the i7 is the EV counterpart to the ICE-powered 7 Series. The German automaker’s EV sales jumped 200 percent year on year to 3,753 units, accounting for 21 percent of its overall sales. In 2024, the share of electric models in its sales was just 8 percent. Commenting on the sales milestone, BMW Group India president and CEO Hardeep Singh Brar said, “The BMW i7 is not merely a luxury sedan; it is a bold declaration of ‘Forwardism’.
