The City of Ekurhuleni has registered major performance gains in service delivery, financial and operational aspects in the second quarter of the financial year, Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza has revealed. The municipality is therefore showing “early signs of financial stabilisation,” the Mayor added, citing the unaudited Second Quarter Financial and Performance Results and the Mid-Year Performance Assessment for the 2025/26 financial year. OperationsDuring the quarter, the city conducted several operations to stabilise infrastructure, enforce by-law compliance and enhance revenue collection. Regarding non-financial performance, the city achieved 66 of 93 targets in the second quarter, the equivalent of 71%.
