The Friends of the Victoria Public Library (FVPL) held its first book sale of the year last week and raised $8,000 for the Victoria Public Library. The monies raised from each sale goes back to the library — funding the summer reading program, gingerbread house workshops and more activities. FVPL volunteers and library employees sort the books that are donated, hoping to share their love for books. It’s a must to have one, and I think everybody should be able to enjoy it.”The next Friends of the Victoria Public Library book sale will be from May 10-16.
