‌Money previously promised to Grantham no longer appears in Lincolnshire County Council’s budget forecasts – with the authority’s growth scrutiny committee hearing that the funds have been swallowed up by other projects. ‌The county council’s executive had previously given the go-ahead for the scheme in February 2024. Coun Tim Harrison (Independent – Grantham St Wulframs), who sits on SKDC, was another person prevented from speaking at the meeting. ‌Coun Richard Davies (Conservative – Grantham West) said he was “extremely disappointed” that the money had been removed from the authority’s budget proposal. “However, be rest assured that this is part of that overall process and what you say in here will be taken into account.”Article continues belowThe county council’s executive will be working on a final budget proposal in the coming weeks.
