The UNC head coach, 73, has endured a turbulent week after reportedly being informed that he will not be inducted into this year's Hall of Fame, falling short of the 45 votes required by the 50-person selection committee.

On Wednesday, Belichick appeared in a social media post by Mekai Brown, a four-star edge rusher currently attending high school in Greenwich, Connecticut.
During his debut season as a collegiate head coach, Belichick led UNC to a 4–8 (2–6 ACC) record in 2025, resulting in the Tar Heels missing the postseason for the first time since 2018.
