ALLENTOWN — For the first time in program history, the Allentown boys basketball team is a division champion. Frank Varricchio scored 24 points, Nick Pless added 11, and the Redbirds completed a 6-0 run in the CVC’s Valley Division with a 62-54 win Thursday night against Princeton Day School. Allentown (9-8) rallied after trailing by 14 points at halftime and outscored PDS (5-10) in the fourth quarter, 21-6. — The Tornadoes (11-5) earned a share of the CVC’s Colonial Division title with Ewing as both teams finished 5-1.
