In this year's State of the Game Industry survey, held by the Game Developers Conference, developers were asked which platforms they prefer to make games for, and the results are quite interesting. Over 2,300 individuals were questioned in the survey, and were asked which platforms interest them most as a developer. The most popular answer was PC, which was selected by 80 per cent of developers, which makes perfect sense. In second place, and the most popular home console, was PS5; 40 per cent of respondents chose it as a platform for which they wanted to make games. Elsewhere in the survey, developers were asked what factors are most important to them when considering which platforms to support.
