Addressing a press conference, Verma was accompanied by voter list in-charge Lalit Sen and state spokesperson Swadesh Sharma. Verma further alleged that tribal communities, minorities and other vulnerable groups were deliberately targeted. In Indore and nearby areas, objections were selectively filed against tribal and Muslim voters. He claimed attempts were made to delete the names of 30 to 50 voters using the same mobile number and email ID, and that over 50 objections were filed against a single individual. He said the Congress would raise the issue from the streets to the courts to protect democracy and the Constitution.
