Prime Video has greenlit “Don’t Be Shy,” an original romantic comedy produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt through their Eternal Sunshine Productions banner, with Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani serving as co-producers.
Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, the coming-of-age film centers on Shyamili “Shy” Das, a 20-year-old whose meticulously organized life begins to unravel when an unexpected turn of events sends things spiraling beyond her control.
The film features an original score by composer Ram Sampath.
“At Eternal Sunshine, we’ve always wanted to back stories that feel honest and voices that feel their own,” said Alia Bhatt, co-founder of Eternal Sunshine Productions.
The company subsequently produced the Prime Video series “Poacher,” directed by Emmy winner Richie Mehta, and “Jigra,” an action-adventure helmed by Vasan Bala and co-produced with Dharma Productions.
