Abuja, Jan. 30, 2026 (NAN) A 35-year-old engineer, Mustapha Abdul, was on Friday appeared before an Abuja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly receiving stolen camera D850 worth N5 million. The police charged Abdul, of Suleja, Niger State with receiving stolen property but the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge. Nwachukwu said that Peter allegedly made away with the complainant’s camera D850 worth N5 million and sold it to the defendant for N800,000Nwachukwu told the court that Peter’s confessional statements at the police station led to the arrest of the defendant. The prosecutor alleged that during police investigation, the stolen camera was recovered from the defendant. The Chief Magistrate, Mr Musa Jobbo, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 and one surety in like sum.
