Imagine every summer, your boyfriend goes on a week-long vacation with their long-term girl best friend and doesn’t invite you. The Netflix adaptation “People We Meet on Vacation” is the first of many upcoming adaptations of Emily Henry’s work. These two characters become unlikely friends with opposite personalities, sparking a series of unfortunate events that lead to one vacation, for one week, every summer. Throughout this movie, Alex and Poppy have serious character development. Moreover, even without having read the book, “People We Meet on Vacation” is a great standalone movie.
