The diorama, depicting the houses and landmarks of Knocka, was put together by the Men's Shed team in the run-up to Christmas. Paul Griffin at the Men's Shed told CorkBeo that the plywood and balsa wood model was originally supposed to much smaller - before ballooning to a staggering 16ft by 5ft. This area of Cork city's northside was also recently the setting for the IFTA-nominated Christy, a film released last summer and filmed across the sites depicted by the Men's Shed model. Star Danny Power told CorkBeo: "I live up the northside. Paul at the Men's Shed told CorkBeo that the lads will soon be getting to work on future creative projects - and that he expects the sprawling model to get "much bigger."
