MEDICAL DISTRICT — Jimmy Proctor, a septuagenarian Vietnam War veteran and patient at Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center, is now a resistance fighter.
Proctor’s anger boiled over when he heard federal agents shot and killed 37-year-old intensive care nurse Alex Pretti on Saturday in Minneapolis.
The group, organized by labor organization National Nurses United, called for abolishing ICE and for Congress to reverse funding for the agency.
Jimmy Proctor, a combat veteran and patient at Jesse Brown, attends the candlelight vigil at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center on Jan. 28, 2026 for RN Alex Pretti and others killed by ICE.
