A busy road has been shut overnight for repairs with work expecting to go on for 'several hours'. The A38 in Staffordshire was closed southbound in the early hours of Friday, January 30 due to an infrastructure defect. The closure is between the A513 (Alrewas) and the A5127 (Lichfield), Birmingham Live reports. "Specialist contractors are in attendance conducting the required surveying and repair works," National Highways said. This is an ongoing event and updates will be provided.
