The company wished to vary its licence to open from 9.30am daily and to serve "late-night refreshment" until 5am, with all food and drink being served through its drive-thru lane after midnight. Puriton Parish Council objected to the licensing change, arguing that it would increase noise and antisocial behaviour in and around the services area. "Even if the new customers aren't particularly noisy, that noise is escalated because there isn't the standard level of noise elsewhere.
