“Star Wars” fans might be looking forward to watching the Super Bowl to see the Seattle Seahawks face off against the New England Patriots, but others are hoping to see another glimpse at a galaxy far, far away. The last “Star Wars” movie to hit theaters was 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker,” which wrapped up the 9-episode Skywalker Saga. This wouldn’t be the first time a “Star Wars” film got an ad during the Super Bowl, as “Solo: A Star Wars Story” did a few years ago, so there is a precedent. "Also, I love how the Star Wars universe has — it's not trying to pay off each movie with the whole backlog of movies. Not only is this the first “Star Wars” film since 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker,” but season 3 of “The Mandalorian” wasn’t exactly well-received by fans.
