Staff members and elected officials from Evanston/Skokie School District 65 and the City of Evanston will come together in a working group to determine future facilities collaboration. Several District 65 parents have been pushing for the creation of a group comprised of school and city officials since December. Stowe suggested that the group include one elected official from District 65 and one from City Council. While District 65 was on board, Evanston Township High School District 202 Superintendent Marcus Campbell said that the high school would “respectfully bow out” of such a working group. Members of two District 65 parent advocacy groups, the Legion of Data Nerds and Invest in Neighborhood Schools, expressed support for the move.
