Record-breaking row across Indian Ocean about to get underway

Malvern College alumna Lara Vafiadis, 35, who previously completed a solo row across the Atlantic Ocean, is part of a crew aiming to become the first mixed crew in history to complete the crossing powered solely by human strength across the Indian Ocean.
"This Indian Ocean crossing is about teamwork, pushing boundaries and using adventure as a platform for positive change.
Her experience, having attended Malvern College from 2003 to 2006, has been a source of pride for the school, which praised her continued ambition and impact.
Keith Metcalfe, headmaster of Malvern College, said: "Lara exemplifies the Malvernian spirit in every sense.
